Abstract: The silica particles were examined by means of transmission electro-microscope (TEM) duringthe course of growing. It was observed that at the initial stage, the silica particles consist of floe, with the density being low, while after the initial stage, the silica particles became condenser, the growing elements are small condensed species. On the bases of the TEM exarnination andexperimental results made early, a mechanism of formation of monodisperse silica particles wasput forward and a detail discussion was made on the mechanism.
