Effects of α-Al2O3 Seeds on the Phase Transformation and Microstructure of Alumina

摘要: 在湿化学法合成的纳米Al2O3前驱体NH4Al(OH)2CO3中添加α-Al2O3籽晶(150nm左右),研究了α-Al2O3籽晶对Al2O3晶型转变及形貌的影响.结果表明,少量α-Al2O3籽晶的添加能降低形核温度,有效的提高相转变速率,在较低的温度下完成θ→α-Al2O3的相转变,同时对聚合生长也产生一定的影响.

Abstract: Nanometer NH4Al(OH)2CO3 precursor was synthesized from NH4Al(SO4)2 and NH4HCO3. The effect of α-Al2O3 seeds (-150nm) on the phase transformation and micrograph of alumina was studied. The results show that under the conditions of adding a small quantity of α-Al2O3 seeds, the nucleating temperature can be lowered, the transition rate enhanced effectivelly, the transition of Al2O3 from θ to α phase can be completed at a lower temperature, and the grain accumulation can also be influnced to a certain extent.
