Abstract: The dielectric and piezoelectric properties of lead magnate niobate-lead titanite(PMNT) ceramic material in the vicinity of the morphotropic phase boundary
were investigated. The properties in the material can be improved by selecting the proper composition and sintering processing. The value of
the piezoelectric coefficient d33 and the coupling factor kt is larger than 540 pC/N and 0.50, respectively. The microstructure
of the material sintered with different time was investigated. Longer sintering time not only makes grains larger, but also makes the
growing speed of grains faster. The correlation between chemical composition, microstructure and the piezoelectric property in PMNT ceramics was discussed.
