Preparation and Mechanism of Nesting Spherical Layered Closed-cage Structured Nano WS₂

Abstract

Abstract: WS₃ precursors were fabricated by a simple precipitation method. The nano-WS₂ particles with nesting spherical layered closed-cage structure were obtaincd by WS₃ precursors heated at high temperature in hydrogen atmosphere. The samples were identified and characterized by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), and the mechanism of formation was researched.
