Progress in Study on Phase Relation and Crystallization Behavior of Bi2O3-SiO2 System

Abstract

Abstract: The progress in study on Bi₂O₃-SiO₂ system was introduced in this paper. Stable and metastable phase equihbriums of the system were first summarized and reviewed, then several aspects such as structure, performance, growth and application of bismuth silicate compounds, in-cluding Bi₁₂SiO₂₀, Bi₄Si₃O₁₂ and Bi₂SiO₅, were discussed. Bi₂SiO₅ may be one of the promising new functional crystal.
