Synthesis of a New Type of TiO₂ Nano-Structured Film

Abstract

Abstract: Nano TiO₂ films composed of layered, needle shaped and spherical particles were synthesized by the water based sol-gel method with the modification of acetic acid. SEM, XRD and IR were used to analyze the as prepared films. The results show that the concentration of acetic acid is the key factor having effect on the determination of microstructure of as prepared nano films. This method can be used to control the microstructure of other nano material prepared by sol-gel routes.
