Synthesis of Spherical Titanium Dioxide Nanocrystals by O2+Ar Arc Plasma Method

摘要: 采用O2+Ar电弧等离子体法,使金属钛原子从钛金属构成的阴阳两电极上产生,形成瀑流,在被电离的氧等离子区域中被氧化形成晶态的TiO2纳米超细颗粒。通过TEM观察,所合成的TiO2粉体为纳米尺寸的分散性好的球形粒子,平均粒径在20nm左右。利用X射线衍射分析,粉体中的晶粒为锐钛矿和金红石的混晶结构。

Abstract: Spherical nanocrystals of titanium dioxide (TiO2) were synthesized by inflight oxidation of titanium (Ti) metal-atoms in argon-oxygen thermal plasma. Morphology investigation shows that these nanoparticles obtained are perfectly spherical and dispersible. Their average grain sizes are about 20nm. XRD analysis reveals that these spherical nanoparticles are totally crystalline, comprised of anatase and rutile or their composite.
