Abstract: La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O3-α was prepared by a citrate method. Thermal analysis (TG/DTA) was used to characterize the thermal decomposition of the organic ligands of the gel. The gel decomposed to its oxides at 256-309℃. X-ray diffraction patterns indicate a pure primitive-cubic phase is formed by 1300℃ without impure phases. The impedance spectra of an 88%-dense sample exhibit no grain-boundary contribution, a conductivity σ=2.l×10-2Scm-1 at 800℃ and an activity energy E=0.98eV.
