Fabrication and Evaluation of SiC/C Functionally Graded Material

Abstract: The bulk SiC/C FGM was fabricated by powder metallurgy processing. It mixes the high erosion-resistance of SiC and high thermal-shock of graphite, and has high thermal fatigue. This work opens an application prospective for SiC ceramic.
