Abstract: Nanoscale barium titanate powders of cubic structure were prepared from precipitate of solprecipitation method following three kinds of drying stages: freeze drying, azeotropic distillation and oven drying. Freeze drying is the most effective processing, though bothfreeze drying and azeotropic distillation stage can prevent the formation of hard agglomerates and improve the sinterability of powders. The mechanism of drying stages preventing the formation of hard agglomerates was investigated
