Abstract: Pure Ba2Ti9O20 powder was prepared by using traditional ceramic technological process with BaTiO3 and TiO as the starting raw materials. In order to explore
the phase development sequence, the mixed powder of BaTiO3 and TiO2 was calcined with different temperatures from 800℃ to 1150℃ and different keeping
hours from 1/60 to 64h, then identified by X-ray powder diffraction. The results show that the pure phase of Ba2Ti9O20 can be obtained at 1000~1150℃/4~32h,
and the homogeneity of the constituents is an important processing factor for obtaining pure Ba2Ti9O20 powder.
